 The East Riding of Yorkshire Band are a 3rd Section Brass Band situated in Kingston-upon-Hull but with players from all over the East Riding of Yorkshire.

They currently rehearse at Clowes Methodist Church on a Sunday evening between 7.30-9.45pm.
They are always looking for additional experienced players, please get in touch if you can help.
The Band play at many events around the area, including indoor and outdoor concerts, events and shows.

A Visit Is a Must

It is only occasionally that a town or city can claim special attention as the celebration of a particular anniversary brings it in to sharp focus.  2013 is the 900th anniversary year of the foundation of its Priory. The anniversary provides the town with the opportunity 'to claim the limelight' for a year and celebrate the life of the town past and present and enhance its future.

Bridlington Priory, which provides this opportunity, had the unique distinction of being the home of St John of Bridlington, the last person to be canonised a saint in medieval England. This made medieval Bridlington a centre of pilgrimage - even for King Henry V! - with a nationwide reputation.

The Priory 900 festival will run from 24th March to 13th October 2013. The six month programme of events and displays will include pilgrimages to the Priory from York and Beverley, a medieval-themed summer fayre, heritage craft workshops, concerts, and a conference with specialist contributors covering aspects the Priory's long and eventful history.



 A Tranquil Way To Spend A Day

 Burton Agnes Hall is a magnificent example of Elizabethan architecture built in 1598 by Sir Henry Griffith and still lived in by his descendants. The Hall is fitted with treasures collected and commissioned by the family over the centuries - original Elizabethan carving and plasterwork and a marvellous collection of Impressionist paintings.The Hall is surrounded by lawns and yew topiary bushes while the old walled garden is filled with collections of roses, clematis, herbs and perennials contained in a potager, maze, jungle garden and coloured gardens with giant board games.
